Family History Day (OSB)

Learn about local resources available through genealogy and local history organizations. Throughout the day, representatives will give short presentations on genealogy topics. Attendees will be entered into drawings for giveaways. There will also be time for attendees to receive one-on-one help with research questions from some representatives of the organizations. The tentative schedule of events for the day are as follows:

10:30-11 Time for attendees to talk to different organizations
11:00-11:30 Presentations on:
                       Joliet Public Library's Newspaper Resources by Jack Tegel
                       Resources for Researching Your Slovenian Ancestors from the Slovenian Union 
11:30-12 Time for attendees to talk to different organizations 
12-1 One-on-one help available for attendees' genealogy questions
1-1:30 Tour of Joliet Public Library's Genealogy and Local History collection and Presentations on:
                       Researching Local County Records by Tina Beaird                     
1:30-2 One-on-one help

 Registration is preferred, but not required, opens August 25
